This year, Dweck Properties demonstrated its commitment to exceptional service and resident care by securing multiple victories at the Property Management Association’s Apartment Community Excellence (PACE) Awards, the industry’s premier recognition program in the D.C. Metro region.

Lindsay Lindquist, Dweck’s Director of Learning and Development and one of this year’s judges for communities outside of the Dweck portfolio, explains that the PACE Awards “recognize outstanding achievements in the multifamily housing industry.” The judging process is rigorous and comprehensive. “Judges complete a detailed assessment for the enrolled communities based on curb appeal, safety protocols in place, staff performance, maintenance standards, amenities, and resident services/programs offered,” Lindsay shares. “What truly impressed me most was the overall preparedness of so many teams and their knowledge of their communities.”

Marvin Davis, Dweck Assistant Property Manager and fellow PACE judge, adds depth to the significance of these awards: “The judging process ensures that each property is evaluated fairly and comprehensively. During the on-site visit, judges observe the property’s physical condition, cleanliness, landscaping, and how well the amenities meet the needs of residents.”

This year, Dweck Properties’ communities earned recognition across multiple categories, demonstrating excellence throughout our portfolio:

Annapolis Bay secured both a Judge’s Choice award in the Market Rate MD ($2,200 – $2,299) category and earned Distinguished Community status for scoring over 90 points. “Our community won because of our commitment to creating an exceptional resident experience and our dedication to quality,” says Property Manager Keisha Holloway. “The judges were extremely impressed with our organization, resident engagement, meticulous upkeep of the property, our gorgeous lobby, beautiful amenities, and the warm, welcoming energy each team member brings to the community.”

Crystal Square claimed Judge’s Choice honors in the Vintage Market Rate ($2,500+) category. “The judges were really impressed with our team spirit, community volunteer work, and overall presentation of our property,” shares Krista Ashcraft. “They particularly praised how we go above and beyond to take care of our residents, down to celebrating their furry friends’ birthdays.” What sets Crystal Square apart, Krista explains, is “thoughtful attention to detail, blending modern amenities with a welcoming atmosphere that fosters a true sense of belonging. From sustainable design choices to beautifully curated spaces that encourage connection and relaxation, every aspect of our property aligns with a vision of both luxury and comfort. The judges recognized that our property isn’t just a place to live; it’s a place that feels like home—a unique blend of innovation, warmth, and community spirit.”

Rolling Brook Village earned Category Winner Best in Class recognition in the Vintage Market Rate VA ($1,700 – $1,899) category. Christine Fuller attributes their success to team enthusiasm and attention to detail: “The judges were impressed with the enthusiasm of the team and that we wore the Dweck colors. The fact that we sit on 55 acres of lush mature landscape makes you feel relaxed.”

The Park at Arlington Ridge won Category Winner Best in Class in the Vintage Market Rate VA ($2,050 – $2,099) category. “Our community stands out due to its unique country settings combined with the conveniences of city living,” explains Maggie Zarka. She particularly credits her team’s exceptional presentation: “I would like to give a special shoutout to the leasing team for their exceptional hospitality, to Ricardo for his impressive presentation of our events, and to Miguel for his outstanding maintenance presentation.”

Crystal Towers rounded out Dweck’s impressive showing with a Category Winner Best in Class award in the Vintage Market Rate VA ($2,500+) category. “We take great pride in the fact that many of our residents have called Crystal Towers home for decades, with some having lived here for over 40 years,” says Sergi Cardoza. “Their continued residency is a testament to our unwavering commitment to Be Outstanding. It takes more than just four walls to create a home – it takes a team that truly cares, and that’s what we provide at Crystal Towers.”
